The age range listed with each class is only a general guide. Dancers will be assigned to the appropriate level as decided by the teacher. Children do best when they are in the correct level, regardless of their age.

Preschool class: Our preschool classes include basic rhythms and coordination exercises such as hopping, marching, galloping and tiptoeing. Listening skills are developed in our fun "follow the leader" format. Every class also includes stretching exercises, ballet steps, and dance routines. Preschool class is open to children 3 to 5 years old.
Beginning ballet I This level is appropriate for 4 year olds who have successfully mastered the preschool class, kindergarteners, or older dancers who have had no previous training. The class content is similar to the preschool class but is taught on a more mature level.
Beginning ballet II & III These classes are for children with some dance experience. Usually they have been in class for 2 to 4 years. Ballet technique is emphasized a little more and tap is introduced for a more rounded dancing background.
Intermediate Classes In general, intermediate dancers are evaluated for the correct class placement. A dancer would take a class or two, then discuss with the teacher which class(es) are at the appropriate level.
